RTS & ITS Changelog
ESMA and EBA publish Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) and Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) that supplement MiCA. This page tracks publications relevant to whitepaper compliance. Customers receive an email notification when new RTS/ITS are added to this changelog.
RTS on the content and format of crypto-asset whitepapers
Specifies mandatory content, format, and presentation requirements for MiCA whitepapers under Articles 6, 19, and 51. Sets out machine-readable metadata fields and NCA submission procedures.
RTS on conflicts of interest for issuers of ARTs and EMTs
Defines policies and procedures to detect, prevent, manage, and disclose conflicts of interest. Applies to issuers of asset-referenced tokens and e-money tokens.
ITS on standard forms and templates for crypto-asset whitepaper notification
Standardises notification templates sent to NCAs when a whitepaper is published or updated. Includes electronic submission formats accepted by BdP, AMF, BaFin, and CySEC.
Joint ESMA/EBA Guidelines on suitability of management body members of CASPs
Sets criteria for assessing the suitability of board members and senior management of crypto-asset service providers, covering knowledge, experience, reputation, and time commitment.
Draft RTS on sustainability indicators for crypto-assets
Consultation paper on disclosure requirements for the environmental impact of consensus mechanisms. Expected to impose specific data points on proof-of-work assets.
