MiCA Title V

Covers authorisation and operating conditions for Crypto-Asset Service Providers (CASPs), including conduct of business rules, organisational requirements, and prudential standards.

## What MiCA Title V covers Title V (Arts. 59–111) establishes the authorisation and operating regime for Crypto-Asset Service Providers. It covers the application process, conditions for authorisation, conduct of business rules, organisational requirements, prudential safeguards, and passporting rights. ## Authorisation process A CASP seeking authorisation must apply to the NCA of its home Member State. The NCA has 25 working days to assess completeness and 40 working days to grant or refuse authorisation. The application must include a programme of operations, governance documents, AML/KYC procedures, and ICT risk management frameworks. ## Services covered Title V covers: custody and administration, operation of a trading platform, exchange services, execution of orders, placing, transfer services, reception and transmission of orders, and advice on crypto-assets (Art. 3(1)(16)).
