Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) and Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) are legally binding EU acts that specify the detailed technical requirements under MiCA. They are drafted by ESMA and EBA and adopted by the European Commission as delegated or implementing regulations.
## Key MiCA RTS/ITS for issuers
ESMA has published RTS on: whitepaper format and content (Art. 6(14)), notification procedure (Art. 8(7)), classification of crypto-assets (Art. 3(4)), and market abuse prevention (Art. 92). EBA has published RTS on ART/EMT reserve asset requirements, governance, and prudential standards.
